Over 500$ from SGN is way too much for my taste as well. I'd even struggle to justify over 200-250$.

If I was in PEY seat for something like BKK or worse CGK or so like the OP, I'd not even care about J upgrade either unless it was ridiculously cheap like 100$ or so .
