Capital One Travel - Flight change with no notification

I booked a two-leg flight on Swiss Air Lines through Capital One Travel with my Venture X card so I could use my annual credit.

The first leg went fine, but when I got to my layover in Zurich, I found out that my second flight had been cancelled and I was rebooked on a flight 4 hours later.

I tried to apply for EC261 compensation, but was denied by Swiss.

Swiss says that they notified Hopper (which is what Capital One Travel uses) but I was never told. When I logged in (and when I still log in to Capital One Travel) it shows only my original flight; no change.

I typically always book direct with an airline, but wanted to use the credit. Ultimately I am not sure if Swiss or Hopper/Capital One is to blame.

Just a word of warning, if you book with Capital One travel; do not rely on their confirmation and online records; check with the airline before flying to see if there have been any changes to the flight.

Lucky for me; it only resulted in an extra long layover rather than a missed flight; but others might not be so lucky.
