On 18 July I was emailed seat reassignments for F (travel date 6 November). Kinda a bummer -- I was looking forward to the A380 on this route.
That's unfortunate, but instead a third frequency has been added to boost connectivity. I would advise that in general, schedules haven't been fully loaded for IATA winter yet. The changeover date this year is October 30th, so there will likely be some schedule changes to come which we should see mostly finalized in September. Until then, it's still possible to see equipment or frequency changes beyond October 30th.
I'm hopeful we'll still see some additions for AKL/CPT/BKK/Australia loaded this winter.
On a completely different note, CAN gained a second weekly frequency with effect from next week because of China's increase in international flights:

There is definitely no immediate plan to put the new F on EWR/ATH.
