I believe there is now a bag drop for INTL->Domestic connections. LATAM's connection guide claims this exists:

When passengers have an International/Domestic connection, they must collect their baggage upon arrival in Chile and drop it off at the domestic flight connections counter located after the exit from international flights. It is on the left side of level 1, where customers can drop off their baggage before heading to domestic terminal T1. The same applies if the connection is with a different reservation number (either International/International, Domestic/International, Domestic/Domestic).
Step 3 of their pdf also has a "Domestic Connections Counter" to the left of the customs exit. We'll be there, hopefully utilizing this counter in September. I'll update the thread in case there isn't a data point by then.
