2DEF is great on the 738, if you're travelling alone or a couple be sure to purchase the middle seat, write the pax name as EXTRA (first name) COMFORT SEAT (last name) and add the passport/ID per the lead pax. No one will bother you or stand in your way while using the toilet, 2F is also the only seat on the aircraft to have a usable storage pocket. It's as good as any of the legacies EU C cabins and a fraction of the cost.

On the MAX, 2A is great, again, be sure to book 2B to keep smelly pax away. You won't share legroom with the crew and can totally stretch out.
