Inside, a mushy, rancid smell welcomes you. The lounge on the 22nd floor never reopened.
Rooms are equally mushy, dated, dirty and without any appointments needed in this decade. There are no water glasses, water heaters, leave alone coffee makers and no water at all in the rooms.
carpets are dirty, door locks prone to key failure.
outside, ther is no safe place to walk. Cabs do not wait at this venue due to crime, vandalism and bad elements.
My beloveth Trafalgar Bar on the ground floor is cloed. Thaynused to be my favorite but it is gone forever.
Theft also occur, I feel unsafe everywhere in here.
The food on the second floor restaurant is dismal at best and expensive.
No more Crowne Plaza Santiago for me ever and I can see it pulled from IHG altogether very soon.
Intercontinental is the only IHG of class left
Thanks for the update. I'm nor surprised. This has been "protest central" for some time now. At the end of 2019, things were a mess down there. It is one of those circles that has no good end - not many people want to stay there, and the hotel has no incentive to spend $ to fix things. I've got friends that live not far away, and the location is good for that, but unless there's some great neighborhood revival, this isn't on my list.
