Alternatively I could ask to be routed DUB-HEL-HND (instead of DUB-LHR-HND) and have already upgraded the long haul with Avios. If I asked to be rebooked on AY/JL would the UUA transfer to JL Business class?
ba holidays indeed have a very different set of rules - which i don't think we have access to. but i doubt they would entertain different connections etc
