Gertjaars , everything went pretty smooth and we were satisfied with our stay. Booked a pretty cheap rate as described above in this thread. Our originally booked room was a King Deluxe and in the end we got upgraded to a Terrace Tree Villa. As someone without any status at WOH I found this very decent, as it is a 3 category upgrade.
We did not came from DPS but for the longer rides we know a driver there. We did not had any problems with taxi's, including a grab ride. Ofcourse the usual suspects ("sorry I do not have any change back") but I know how to handle this kind of things. Maybe it helps that we speak fluent Behasa Indonesia, but I'm pretty sure it should be no problem to get a ride there. Also, the shuttle service to the city was free of charge.
All in all we liked this hotel: the staff is very friendly, the location is nice (remote, but nice). Breakfast was good (a la carte). The Terrace Tree Villa is spacious, with views over the jungle. In the villa you have a lot of privacy, only sometimes a monkey will have a look inside.
