Just got back from 5 weeks in Italy, Greece, Spain, UK. Wasn't too bad, apart from one seriously delayed flight BOS-AMS that had us rerouted AMS-CDG-VCE and with a bag that showed up 2 days later. Otherwise, no big problems, Some minor delays with flights from BCN, ATH, DUB. Airports were in some cases quite crowded, long lines, but in other cases (perhaps depending on time of day) surprisingly uncrowded. No generalization I could draw about "Europe". Did transit through LHR but were lucky not to encounter lost bags or canceled flights. I guess the moral of the story is that even if there are many flight disruptions that make the news, there are quite a lot that are still on track?
