When an airline has an interline agreement with another it is usually for itineraries on the same e-ticket number i.e. in this case it would be fully 006 and not on two separate tickets. You basically went around SQ's policy on paying for the 5th bag and SQ will most likely debit DL for the loss of revenue. What you received was an exception to the published policy and shouldn't be counted upon in the future.
