Barclays AA Card: can card be in a different name than AAdvantage account?

New here, would appreciate any help.

I tried applying for the AA Aviator Red card with Barclays and was denied. Called to see about reconsideration and they said I met all the qualifications but I've opened too many new cards this year. I'm really only looking to use the card to earn Loyalty Points, my spending between my Amex and Discover is typically between $15k-$25k per month. I'm not flying as much these year so I'm getting desperate to requalify for Platinum Pro. I noticed when I filled out the application it asks you to enter your AAdvantage number in the application. My question here is, if I have my fiance sign up for the card, could she put my Aadvantage accounting in there, would that work? I know this is probably a very rarely encountered scenario, but if they're asking for the account number during the application process I'm wondering if they just deposit the points into whatever account you put there.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
