It appears that the Apoca portal doesn't give me the option to search for a number plate going through the drop off area, only to give a number plate and a date and to pay the charge. Effectively the auto-pay sign-up is similar as you provide a number plate but don't specify a date but agree to it to auto charge you for any visit registered.

I think I am covered as I have signed up with their system for auto-pay and they are failing to take the money, so if they were to come after me there would be clear evidence that I have done what is required and it's their fault they didn't take the money, but these parking companies are a law unto themselves.
