After returning to the gate and multiple checks on the plane the flight took off around 11:40 pm and arrived 4 hours and 45 minutes late. I'm glad the crew didn't time out. The return UA71 is now significantly delayed today.

Passengers, at least those in coach, will get a $150 credit. This seems generous to me as I wouldn't say this is United's fault.

I took a quick look last night and didn't see any other wide-bodies with big delays, so this flight may have hit an unlucky spot on a taxiway.
