But we have never had to do that with a connection. Next week we have a trip to Iceland that has a Layover in Chicago. Will the seat and stroller bags be waiting in the jet bridge in Chicago or since there is a connection and it is international, do they forward it to the next flight automatically (and does it wait there at the jet bridge or at the baggage carouse)

Thanks for the help
by default, it’ll come out at the connection point, the same way you are used to. If you want to check it through at the gate, it should be an option. But on a general pink tag, it’ll come out where the plane lands. Sometimes, they will fill out the pink tag with both connection and final destination points, but that’ll just prevent you from getting a new one for the second flight (unless that flight is OAL - usually, each airline will want their own gate check tag). Just confirm with the GA you want it at ORD. They’ll tag that way.

a couple of other tips I’ve learned with pink tagging baby strollers/seats. I go straight to the desk at the gate to get it, to do it when things are a little less busy rather then waiting until the flight is boarding - this tends to save time. I also always mention to the FA at the aircraft door that I’ve left a stroller at the gate, and just to make sure they take it. Don’t even want to remember the time we landed at 5:30am in FRA and that’s when we found out they didn’t bother to load the stroller.
