That doesn't sound right as generally domestic FC awards are all priced as one-way awards (just like domestic FC revenue fares). That also looks true on this route where the low-level FC awards are 39K miles each-way (FSX390 fare basis code). 4 x 39K = 156K. What is being suggested is to transfer 7K to wife's account to bring it up to 39K and buying a one-way FC award with her miles. And then buy the remaining 3 one-way FC awards (or a one-way + roundtrip) with your miles for 117K miles.
