Your booking is quite a complex one, and to be honest with you Mr Chumleigh a mixed BA/AA booking starting outwith the UK rarely checks in properly anyway, due to the well known SABRE v Amadeus issues. It may be your ADOC is at least ok for the USA section, so if the ZRH agents look for that it may speed things up a bit. I travel on a visa rather than ESTA though.
Pre-pandemic I've never had an issue to be honest (possibly assisted by Global Entry) other than the occasional SSSS, though admittedly I can't immediately recall having an AA prime flight as a connection.

I shall be arriving nice and early at ZRH so I can insist on a BP there for the TATL and spend some of the 2hr 45min connection time in the CCR rather than queuing at Flight Connections / First Wing.

If the sun shines on me the flight will be cancelled and I'll get rebooked into LX F.
