I was playing with dates YOW-YVR for under $400 one way in Flex for dates in August, direct flights on a MAX. More expensive out of YYZ for some reason. Book one way out of Ontario to avoid the HST on the return trip to make it a little cheaper (only works going West), this may pay for the gas from YYZ - YOW.
