I want to book a couple tickets for January using our skymiles. I have @ 130,000 miles and my wife has @ 32,000 miles. Not frequent travelers, but...If I book the tickets, which is what I usually do, how do I use both of our miles to purchase tickets and pay the difference in cash or purchase miles beforehand so I have enough? I don't want to pay Delta $300 to transfer miles to myself. Do I have to book two separate tickets under each skymiles account in order to use both of our skymiles or pay to transfer the miles?
