My Lad and GF, did this once living in Whistler. His lease ran out and he had a day until the new one started. Rented a truck, put all their stuff in it, drove up to a lake and slept in the truck. No, I wouldn't do it near Gatwick though!
Why not??? park up near the Staines reservoirs outside Heathrow and look up to the stars and watch a few early morning arrivals/departures
it would be just like being in Whistler, just with no mountains and the added noise of jet engines.
