But can be anything. Also if anything goes wrong you mainly have to deal with the OTA directly. So I would be very careful before I go and buy these really cheap tickets.
Such fares may have additional restrictions, but I have never had any difficulty getting tier points on them. Apart from redemption awards, the only ones I know of that may not yield TPs are some forms of group bookings.
