I have had similar things happen previously but they corrected on the next month. I assumed that it had something to do with certain charges being held back for credit. Given you say a couple of months back, I assume it didn't self correct?
EDIT: by spend did you mean the actual card statement or the "
TD VISA INFINITE PRIVILEGE PURCHASES" on the AE dashboard? That latter amount is 1.25 times spend.
