thanks for the info, however, going this route will only net about 4400-4500 base miles and my costs would go up, as the 3 for 1 is not eligible on any discounted lodging prices through AAA, government discounts, special pricing etc….so I would have to pay full price, which would be over $1,500. So for that price, I would be better off going with base mile deals AA is giving on their travel site
