Found a Laquinta hotel where the cost drops to 1.79c per mile for 32,000 base miles. I don’t have status with them, so may be ok, if I’m willing to give up the elite night credits with Marriott. I found a comfort inn where the costs drops down to 1.55c, for 36,000 miles, but it’s not in the very best of neighborhoods.

i was trying to stay with Marriott b/c I’m titanium and need 15 more nights to lock up titanium for next year.

anyway, thanks for sharing and making me take a closer look…..just lost almost 3 hours of sleep looking…
