Doubletree BWI

Staying here tonight after a cancelled Frontier flight on points (30k) as a Diamond.

Reasonable place. Easy, fast shuttle. Fast check in. She said I would get the f&b $15 or $20. I didn’t hear the exact amount. No upgrade. I asked for a late 2pm checkout. She said they were too full/ busy. No lounge or anything else of interest.

Room is good size and pretty standard.

We had burgers and beers at the bar. Adequate. Just glad to have the option. Also good use of the F&B credit.

We usually stay at the Holiday Inn two blocks away because of the cheap 7 day parking room rate when we travel. This Doubletree is much nicer than the Holiday Inn and not much more points/ money. The Hilton is always more money but for not much more experience.

edit: By morning, a number of age/ maintenance issues revealed themselves. As mentioned above, 90% of the electrical outlets are so worn out that they no longer work. So we woke up to dead phones and ipads. Second, it seemed pretty humid all night even tho the a/c was on 72. As I went to check the unit, I found that the carpet was wet for 6 feet in all directions. Apparently the condenser drain hose was plugged or off, and all the condensation was being dumped into the carpet to re-hydrate the room. One wonders about mold. I guess it is back to the Holiday Inn for us.

edit again: just got the online receipt. The $15/20 food credit was not credited. I might email them.
