Novotel Chartres

- What is your ALL status? Platinum
- Were you happy with the hotel/stay? Yes
- Which room did you book and which upgrade did you receive? Superior Room, and that's what I got. I arrived very late though.
- How are the rooms? This is an older property and it shows in the design. It's well maintained though, and in good condition. Only exception are the doors to the stairwells where there are a lot of bumps and scratches.
- What was good and what was bad?
Good: Well-maintained property, conveniently located near the motorway. Good breakfast. Quick check-in and checkout, staffing levels have improved. Big bottles of Rituals shampoo and shower gel, nicer than the own brand single use plastic bottles. Got to meet the Australian swimming team who were training in Chartres in preparation for the Commonwealth Games.
Bad: dated design. No upgrade (hotel was fully booked).

- What about welcome drinks, welcome amenities or any other special perks? Gotdrink voucher at check-in
- Value for $ or Vouchers? Would you return? Nothing special but solid performance.
