Mine is for December but I have an October one I have little confidence won't be changed too.

Booked in Club: outbound DUB-LHR-DFW-MEX inbound MEX-LHR-DUB. All one ticket, booked on BA.com.

Noticed a few days ago they'd changed the LHR-DFW segment forward by an hour. No big deal but they hadn't changed the DUB - LHR leaving me with only 20 mins to connect. BA did not notify me of this - I'm just a bit geeky about checking my bookings on the app. I figured, maybe they'll change the DUB-LHR flight in a day or so - surely BA wouldn't leave an itinerary in that state without rebooking me on a reasonable inbound connecting flight.

Looked again this morning and discovered they'd cancelled the DUB-LHR-DFW sectors entirely! No explanation offered. Naturally, you can't fix this yourself online so I had to call them this afternoon with the lengthy period on hold, go through the whole lengthy rigmarole with an agent who it wasn't at all clear fully understood me, reading from the dismal 'I am sorry to keep you waiting etc' script to have them reinstated. When I asked her why they were cancelled she said, 'because you don't meet the minimum connection time'. When I responded 'but it was BA who created and failed to resolve that situation automatically, necessitating what should be an unnecessary call' I realised round and round we would have gone in a Kafkaesque circle so I said 'thanks, goodbye' and ended the call.

My gripe is not with flight rescheduling - these things happen - but with the fact that they didn't offer a new connecting flight (from the several available on BA and EI) to meet the rescheduled one and simply cancelled part of my itinerary with no notification. Also, other than for the simplest of itineraries, BA don't offer a means to resolve these situations online and don't even offer a speedy means to contact them by telephone. I've had to call them to resolve iterations of this kind of thing on 4 of my 5 longhaul bookings since August last year. The changes to my European ones at least could be resolved online.

They really are becoming an embarrassment.
