If you are getting results back in under an hour, it's highly unlikely to be a PCR since the temperature separation alone takes more than an hour. If there was an equipment spec on the certificate then I could tell you more. And yes many countries have insisted on specific test methods, even though a properly conducted antigen test can be argued to as accurate, or even more accurate, on any variant from BA.2 onwards.
LAX can do rapid PCR in 1 hour. Many airport around world can also. Theres the standard 24hr turnaround PCR and the one hour rapid PCR.
