I didn't accept the room that was assigned to me in the app. I waited until I checked in at 3:30. The pre-assigned room was gone and they gave me a choice of a couple of rooms that we didn't like. When we got to our room, it was very disappointing. The bellman asked us if we were happy with the room. We told him we weren't. He made a phone call and working with the front desk, he found us a great room. I don't know why the front desk couldn't do that for us. I'm also lifetime Diamond. I guess I should've tried the $20 trick at the front desk. Instead the bellman was handsomely rewarded.
Curious as to what was wrong with the room? Just a view/location issue?
