2- Do we HAVE TO update the "Document Type" to Nexus Proximity card in the ArriveCAN profile for Nexus holders and continue to use Passport for others?
3. Is Nexus Proximity card same as Nexus card or something else?
4. When we show the Nexus/GE card at the RFID scanner device, do we need to show them for everyone in the vehicle or just the driver?

Thank you!
I drove across the border at the Bluewater Bridge using my Nexus card for the first time last month and will try to answer these as best I can based on my experience.
1. If the Nexus cardholders are citizens then yes, they can use the Nexus card alone for ID, the non-Nexus holders will need passports. Permanent Residents must travel with a passport if they have a Nexus or not according to this site: https://www.cbsa-asfc.gc.ca/travel-v...dv-eng.html#s1
2. I have not updated my ArriveCAN profile at all since I set it up with my passport information. This was months before I received my first Nexus card in April. I used ArriveCAN before crossing the bridge back home and the CBSA officer in the Nexus lane didn't mention that I needed to change my ArriveCAN profile at all or that I had done anything incorrectly. ArriveCAN was never mentioned once, he just asked what I had to declare. Also in May I flew home from Denmark and used the Nexus kiosks at Pearson and again, no indication anything was amiss despite my ArriveCAN profile having passport info only. I imagine since your Nexus profile contains your passport number it shouldn't matter.
3. They're the same thing. If you select it and use the camera to scan it you'll see it looks exactly like a Nexus card and copies all of the info from your Nexus card automatically. The CBSA and CBP refer to the RFID readers drivers tap their cards on before speaking to an officer as "Proximity Card Readers" so I imagine that has something to do with why it's called this in the app.
4. You tap as many Nexus cards as you have in the vehicle, beside the reader there will be a counter that will indicate the number of cards that have been successfully read.

Hope this helps!
