* had stand alone trip insurance but could have done just as well with CSP insurance
I've historically used a separate policy and never tried the insurance included with my card...
I realize that every situation is different or nuanced but would still like to hear real experiences.

So I booked flights with CSR and still got some extra standalone policy for a domestic trip recently - with COVID, and kids, I wanted to have the extension of the trip covered if I needed to wait out a positive case before flying home/needing treatment. Trip went well, but cracked my phone and using the standalone policy for the repair reimbursement - so hopefully that will work nicely, but based on submission, will need to wait 6 weeks to hear initial response, so its not like these policies (Travelex in this case via Squaremouth) are any "faster"
