You’ll probably be fine - BA is consistently inconsistent in enforcing its own rules.

But, some of us (well, me at least) wish that BA was stricter, because there are too many passengers bringing ‘slightly’ bigger or ‘slightly’ more baggage on board, which cause shortages of space for everyone else…
