You'll get the additional QR flight you want and then flight time CAI to ATH is 90 minutes and I would guess you can do it for $100-150 in Y or $400-500 ish in J. Whereas if you look at DOH-ATH out of pocket on QR it can be $2000 in J.

Just got home today from doing the same thing, using Cairo to save money. CAI-DOH-LAX for $1496, Q Suites on the short haul as well as long. Had I booked the same DOH-LAX on its own it was $6000.
