I have the option to book a journey using 2 separate TK J tickets, MLE-IST which arrives at 5.10AM and IST-LAX which leaves 3 hours later. I have checked bags on separate TK tickets before but only from the US. Does anyone have specific Maldives experience about checking baggage all the way through? Also, in the event that I have to pick luggage up, is 3 hours enough?
