A data point that I was able to successfully check in—boarding passes and bags—all the way through on separate tickets (AUH-DOH, and then DOH-HEL-SEA) without any issue. The QR Station Manager in AUH linked them in about two minutes without any problem. I did bring a print out of my two separate tickets and the QR One World connection policy though just in case.
