I have actually moved my EDI flight to the day before due to a cancellation so can travel earlier. Would I be within my rights to ask for an earlier JFK flight or is it a case of sitting tight and what will be will be.
I flew this flight without incident a week ago and enjoyed it. 10 weeks out, I would not worry about it. Much can change, including schedules. Also, 10 weeks takes us into the autumn and I expect cancellations will drop significantly after the summer holidays.
If your flight is cancelled you can ask to move to an earlier flight (assuming sufficient notice of course).
