There are significant tangible benefits to wearing the tag.
I have an old SE tag (2018) on my backpack. I keep it since all of our company backpacks are the same and so I know which ones mine at a trade show or sales meeting. It hasn't provided special treatment but while standing in line last fall in MEX for a domestic Aeromexico flight, I met the AC Director of Sales for LATAM. He noticed the tag and we started a conversation. Since I travel to LATAM a fair bit, it was a very interesting conversation regarding ACs strategy and expansion. He was interested on my thoughts on South America in particular.
