You'd be surprised what airliners can do. I had the good fortune of attending the Farnborough Airshow this summer and I still rave about what the Airbus and Boeing products did.
Frankly, I thought that the commercial airliners were the best part of the flying display. It's a given that the military hardware is going to put on the razzle dazzle but to see a 747 go through it's paces was unbelievable. And the Airbus crossing the airfield nose up, with just enough power to maintain forward motion (you could hear the pilot goosing the engines every so often). Wow.
