There used to be points savers that dropped the Cat 1 Hamptons down below 10,000. But Cat 1 would typically be a place you’d only stay if you had to. No categories anymore. If this is a place you have to stay, it’s a good rate vs paying cash. As long as you’re not trying to impress anyone.

I paid 20,000 points a couple weeks ago for a Home 2 that wanted $168 plus tax and considered it a fair deal.
