I finally got tired of waiting for the restaurant and the club lounge to open and stayed for a night.
They proactively upgraded me to a King Corner room on the 35th floor (36 is the highest).
When I checked in, I asked about suites and they had one on the 23rd floor. They allowed me to look at both rooms and I chose the suite.
Also, the rate had dropped about $25 on the day I arrived. I asked to get the lower rate and they obliged.
The room was very nice. I was on the 3rd Street side of the building with a nice view down 3rd from Moma to the ballpark and the bay beyond.
Breakfast in the market was okay. The acai bowl was nice. It turned out that I was supposed to be given a voucher at check in. But they took the charges off at checkout.
The restaurant had a sign that they were hiring. I also noticed that they have a bed and breakfast rate that starts on August 2nd. So hopefully it's opening by then.
Overall, I was quite happy with the experience. I expect when the restaurant opens this will be my favorite Hyatt in SF.
