I love Globalist, and I have not stayed a single night at Marriott since 2020 (still have Platinum from previous Titanium). It's not just the published benefits, but overall soft service at both hotels and Hyatt is just so much more pleasant to deal with.
Things I love about Hyatt (as a Globalist) are no resort fee, free parking (on points), guaranteed 4 pm check out at non resort properties, and full breakfast (not a continental that I can pay to upgrade or a limited credit that's not enough to cover much). No other chain offers this combination of benefits.
Just go to Asia and you'll know why I love lounge access so much. I agree with everything else that you mentioned. I don't travel much within the US besides going to New York and so I guess people's experiences may vary.
