Note that you can't get lunch in the lounge now. Breakfast runs to 11am and then nothing happens until 2.30 when the cakes appear. Again, this is a big downgrade on the old days when you could work in the hotel all day and not have to worry about going out for lunch (or indeed pop back from your shopping trip to Lafeyette etc).

In general I continue to like the refurb and frankly they keep throwing stuff at you as a Royal Ambassador. On a one night stay I'm meant to handle a €45 mini bar credit, Ambassador $20 F&B credit, restaurant breakfast, all the lounge food, a welcome drink in the bar, plus the strawberries left in my room :-) I also get a 30% cashback on what I pay via a UK Amex promo at the moment, plus cashback site credits plus double points plus Diamond bonus under the current IHG promo. It's difficult to book elsewhere in this scenario!
