I am Marriott LTT and Hyatt Globalist. I value Globalist benefits a lot more than MB Titanium. I work on maintaining Globalist status, and stay at Marriott where the Hyatt options don't work or non-existent. It's easier said than done for going free agent when breakfast for 2 in high end European hotels is 50-100 euros for 2 per day.

Footprint only goes so far. Then there are great vacation spots like South Island of New Zealand where there is 0 Marriott and 0 Hyatt on the entire island. Crown Plaza is looking pretty good for Queenstown.
