MEX, as a business market, has been an exception to no Mexico access for all airlines for years. Since AS no longer flies to MEX, this exception is now gone.

But yeah, I figured it was related to their MEX service, or lack thereof. They still sell tickets to MEX that include an AA segment, with terrible routing and at a price that probably no one would pay.
