Because of AA's new partnership with JetBlue, crediting AA and B6 flights to AA might make sense for you. And, if you will be renting cars/staying in hotels at your various destinations, those activities could help you achieve status in the AAdvantage program relatively quickly -- as would spending on a qualifying AA credit card.
