Isn't Huntsville where the warehouse for permanently lost bags is located, where they're sent for auction?
No was sent to airport with another passenger's name attached. (They're from Huntsville) It was the airport DL bag office that called. Bag numbers get reused. Its why you must enter name when do a lookup and not just enter tag number.

Stuff going to warehouse is sent as cargo, not as passenger baggage. (Even though that's what it is).
