I am booked on a flight from Glasgow to London in October which has now been cancelled. It is the last flight of the day so the next flight is the following day and I cannot travel earlier. BA have told me that there is no entitlement to overnight accommodation if I accept this change, because they have given more than 14 days notice. I am sure the experts will be along shortly but I think BA is in the right here as they have given you plenty of notice and “Duty of Care” doesn’t kick in that far out. Happily stand corrected but they will have offered you alternatives during the day so they fulfilled this Duty.
Do you have travel insurance which would cover the extra night in a hotel ?
