QR Plats are only allowed in Al Safwa if booked in a Business RBD class that gives lounge access, not upgrades. So this case you should be directed to the Platinum lounge before gate A1.
I was given access to AS prior to a flight in J upgraded with Qcredits a couple months back.
However, with the new status lounges opening and reports of a potentially new "paid tickets only" rule, the most accurate answer is probably "who knows".
