My first flight was on British Airways when I was a baby, from Heathrow to Düsseldorf during 1977/8. My mother said it was on a “Big Plane with seats in the middle”, so assume it was a Tri-Star. She didn’t rate BA that much, she says she asked for a pillow for me as I was sleeping & the hostie said “I’ll be right back!” Now, having been CC for years myself I now know what “I’ll be right back!” means! 🤣 The first flight I can actually remember was again BA from LHR to DÜS when I was 6 or 7. It was on a 737-200. I remember it was as noisy as hell down the back. We flew home with Lufthansa on a 727-200, an altogether much more pleasant experience… because I got given toys and an activity set! 👍😀
