I love taking my son to Grand Cypress but I don’t think I’d do it for a couples vacation. So many kids and it’s just very kid-oriented. It also does not have a “high end” feel. I think the GH Tampa does have more of a high end feel, but it’s geographically a bit by itself. I always enjoy the Confidante but not sure I would describe that as “high end” either.
I was a little worried about the more family/kid focus at Grand Cypress. Ugh! I imagine it’s hard to escape in Orlando in general. Trying to use excess points so hoping to stick with Hyatt. The Confidante felt slightly higher end to me with the location and the bar/lounge food. But yes it’s not particularly luxurious. Do you know if the Tampa location has anything within walking distance? I do like going to Ybor City but that’s a drive not walk, I believe.
