I'd been flying between the US east coast and SJU since I was six months old. But the first flight that I'd consider "overseas" was EWR-LHR on BA on July 25, 1996. It was a week after TWA 800 blew up and, whew, my nerves were something else until about an hour into the flight. I had a hard time getting some sleep. I believe the movies shown were Heat and Up Close & Personal. I was hella jetlagged.
